The Current Spanish Spent Fuel Plan

This paper documents a review of the 2016 Spanish spent fuel plan and the strategies developed to meet it. All versions of the ENUN dual purpose casks are discussed, including a new design customized for the transportation of spent nuclear fuel in the Peoples Republic of China. The technical challenges faced by Ensas Spent Fuel Cask Division in the development of the equipment required to store and transport spent nuclear fuel from Spanish nuclear power plants are discussed.
