Report of the 48th INMM Annual Meeting: Is This All There Is?

At the 48th INMM Annual Meetingheld July 8-12, 2007, at the JW MarriottStarr Pass Resort in Tucson, Arizona, wefound that the weather was not that hot;the hotel, although somewhat isolatedfrom other activities, was superb; and thepapers were just as good, if not better insome instances, than at previous meetings.Total attendance was normal (844) includingcompanions. There were 303 paperspresented including twenty-two posters,and fourteen student papers; there werethirty-three student attendees. An interestingnote: the 303 papers were presented by264 people—we’ll explain later. The meetingevaluation (our Report Card) from theelectronic surveys, Session Chair reports,and verbal comments at the meeting wereof the usual variety, many complimentary,a few critical, and several with positive suggestionsfor future meetings. Even thenumber of final papers submitted on timefor the Proceedings of the INMM AnnualMeeting showed significant improvement.
