INMM 50th Annual Meeting Closing Plenary Session: Can We Now Move Toward Peace and Disarmament?

It is a great honor for me to be invited tospeak at the Institute of Nuclear MaterialsManagement on its fiftieth anniversary. Isee the invitation also as an honor to theIAEA—the intergovernmental institute ofnuclear materials management and I amhappy to see several participants whoworked with me at the IAEA: OlliHeinonen, a central actor; Jill Cooley, aprofessional anchor; Tom Shea, a thinkerand innovator; Kaoru Naito, cheerful andcompetent; and Michael Rosenthal, whoreminded me that he and I joined theIAEA at the same time—in November1981.
