This muchneeded introductory textbook complementsthe efforts of the BrookhavenNational Laboratory Nonproliferation andNational Security Department, whichconducts an annual summer school forgraduate students in the field of safeguardsand security. The expertise harnessedfor this effort appears to havebeen well matched to the task.
