Abstract
Preliminary results of a running research project, funded by the European Commission, that will be finished at the beginning of 1998 are presented. The aspects described are focussed on the high and low temperature performance of elastomeric 0-ring seals, consideration of seal ageing, and studies of aerosol leakage phenomena.
