Abstract
This paper presents the findings of Working Group Four on Safeguards Education and Training at the INMM/ESARDA INMM Workshop on \"Meeting Safegurards Challenges in an Expanding Nuclear World,” Tokyo, October, 2008. The paper presents a framework for approaching the education of next generation safeguards specialists and young professionals. The findings highlight the need for more attention to student outreach, for better utilization of existing education programs, and for the involvement of industry along side government and Non-Governmental and International Organizations in the development of safeguards education and training initiatives.
