IMPLEMENTATION AND SUSTAINABILITY OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION MINISTRY OF DEFENSE NUCLEAR PERSONNEL RELIABILITY PROGRAM

Through a cooperative effort between the U.S. Department of Energy (U.S. DOE) and the Russian Federation (RF) Ministry of Defense (MOD), a Personnel Reliability Program (PRP) for the nuclear handlers within the RF MOD is at the stage of implementation. Sustaining the program is of major significance for long term success. This paper will discuss the elements of the RF PRP and the equipment needs for implementation. Program requirements, documentation needs, training, and assurances of appropriate equipment use will be addressed.
