Abstract

Based on a real SGS (Segmented Gamma Scanning) device, the corresponding Digital Twin was developed. First, a series of real experiment s were designed to verify the reliability of digital twins, including transmission experiments and self-emission experiments. With the verified digital twins, the influence of several factors on the random error and systematic deviation of SGS was studied and the uncertainty of the results was estimated. Aiming at the transmission reconstruction distortion, the key factor affecting the systematic deviation of SGS results, an iterative method was established to correction the transmission reconstruction distortion. This method could reduce the systematic deviation of the analysis results significantly. After improvement, the modified method can be more simple and feasible. The SGS digital twin technology can also be used for SRGS (Segmented and Ring-Split Gamma Scanning) and TGS (Tomography Gamma Scanning), and extended to the measurement and analysis for holdup and the investigation for the source terms of decommissioning nuclear facility.
