Abstract
The objectives of this study are to present the features of the Japanese horizontal modular storage system for dry storage of PWR and BWR spent fuel assemblies and to establish the means to accomplish the design activities. This report focuses on the packaging and transportation system for the Japanized horizontal modular storage system for the case where it will be installed away from reactor (AFR). and confirm its feasibility in accordance with the Japanese regulations.
