Abstract
The development of a portable isotopic imaging system for nuclear security applications would serve as an important tool for fissile material analysis and treaty verification purposes. Epithermal neutron transmission spectroscopy is an isotopically sensitive, resonance-based technique which could serve as the foundation for such an imaging system. Our work demonstrates the feasibility of an epithermal neutron radiography apparatus for characterizing fissile and non-fissile materials of interest to nuclear security topics.
