Abstract
In Morocco as elsewhere , r adioactive sources are widely used in medicine, industry, agriculture, research and education. However, there is a safety and security risk associated with these sources that needs to be managed and maintained under regulatory control even after their useful life. To protect the public from the hazards of ionizing radiation, cradle to grave control of radioa ctive sources is essential approach. In this regards, the project INT9176 Strengthening the \"cradle to grave\" control of radio active sources is considered for many countries in the Mediterranean region as an opportunity to improve its regulatory and technical capabilities for effective management of DSRS . This project is based on the s trong interregional cooperation . Morocco is a party of this project and is involving in the process of implementing its objectives.
