The Manhattan Team

The Manhattan Team , part of the Y - 12 National Security Complex (Y - 12) , trains, advises, plans, and challenges layered site defense use of sensors, o bstacles, and response forces. The end state of a full program of instructi on is a modified plan that addresses security gaps and the organic capability to conduct performance testing. The Manhattan Team contributes to the Whole of Government approach , building partner nations ’ capacity to secure r adiological and n uclear material and to prevent the need for U . S . g overnment – suppor ted response. Y - 12 is a Department of Energy facility located in Oak Ridge, T ennessee . Y - 12 developed the Manhattan Team to support Global Nuclear Security Programs.
