NM CONTROL AND ACCOUNTING SYSTEMS (MC&A SYSTEM) AT THE OAO “MSZ” SITE AT THE CONSOLIDATED PRODUCTION BUILDING

The Elektrostal Machine Building Plant- OAO Mashinostroitelniy Zavod, (OAO MSZ) has developed a general project plan and has installed a demonstration stand for an upgraded materials control and accounting system (MC&A system) at the consolidated production building. One of the features of the new computerized MC&A system is its use of radio frequency identification devices (RFID) in identifying containers with materials, as well as for monitoring the movement of materials and conducting physical inventories. OAO “MSZ” is also developing an accounting system for materials on-hand which operates independently from the measurements received prior to production. OAO “MSZ” site and US team personnel are conducting joint MC&A system project design work which will significantly be improved with the introduction of new technology. The report describes these systems and the work being done on the implementation of the new components into a single automated accounting system, and further as part of the overall security system. This system will enhance the security of materials at the consolidated production building.
