Abstract
Nuclear energy would grow in response to climate change and the need for a stable energy supply even in an unstable global non-proliferation regime. Is the expanded use of nuclear energy production compatible with global peace and security? What are the potential risks from the standpoint of state/non-state proliferation (the paradigm between proliferation-resistance and nuclear security)? How can they be managed? and Are there solution that can reduce risks? These are a few of the questions to be addressed in this paper to explore whether the expansion of nuclear energy production is manageable from the standpoint of security.
