Abstract
The CETAMA (Commission for the Establishment of Analysis Methods) is a unit of the CEA (Commissariat a la Energie Atomique) set up to improve the quality of analysis and measurement results in inspection facilities and laboratories, and to aid them in implementing methods and procedures. The CETAMA responds to requests from throughout the CEA Group through the following mission objectives: prepare and/or certify reference materials by accredit metrology laboratories; organize and interpret round-robin comparisons to assess the quality of the results and to validate analysis methods; draft procedures, methods, instrument specification requirements (validated by round-robin comparisons or by experience at several laboratories) and technical documentation; apply the acquired experience, facilitate pooling of analytical problems and solutions (through Working Groups), and inform users (notably by organizing topical information meetings).
