Abstract
The quality of destructive analysis for material accountancy greatly depends upon management capability to maintain higher precision referring the International Target Values (ITV). Effective and efficient quality control system is essential for establishment to attain such high accuracy for routine analysis in a laboratory of nuclear fuel facility. Since Isotope Dilution Mass Spectrometry (IDMS) for determination of plutonium and uranium content and their isotopic composition has launched in the laboratory of PFC of JNC in 1996, quality control system has gradually expanding and advancing, which currently consists of bias detecting, random error monitoring and human error preventing system. Comprehensive quality control system currently applied to PFC is discussed in this paper.
