Abstract
U.S. Additional Protocol implementation for the Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) is the responsibility of the NNSA Office of International Regimes and Agreements, Nuclear Safeguards. The NNSA has determined that a web based training system is the best approach to ensure that up to date “on-demand” training is available for personnel involved in AP implementation activities at DOE and NNSA installations. This web based training system has been developed by Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) using state of the art instructional design, graphic design and Java™ 2 Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE) programming technology. The content for the courses has been derived from existing hard copy training tools developed by DOE AP Implementation Team members from NNSA and the DOE National Laboratories. Users access the AP Web Based Training System through the DOE AP Website.
