Abstract
The GEMINI Twin Camera System is a proposed all digital replacement for the existing Euratom (CEC) Twin Minolta Camera System. During 1992 and early 1993, design and prototype testing has been done by the manufacturer, Aquila Technologies, and a potential user CEC to specify and test operational characteristics of the system. An overview of the system, its installation and preliminary results are reviewed. The connectivity of the GEMINI to digital data networks, inspectorate input to design, and system implementation are discussed.
