Abstract
Japan Atomic Energy Agency established the \"Integrated Support Center for Nuclear nonproliferation and Nuclear Security\" (\"the Center\", hereafter) under sponsorship of the Japanese government (MEXT: Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) in December 2010 at Tokai-mura in Japan. Making use of Japan's experiences in peaceful uses of nuclear energy, the Center will contribute to strengthening nonproliferation and security in Asian countries with the following roles and functions: assistance for human resources development and capacity building institutional infrastructure development and technical support, and international cooperation and collaboration with IAEA, USDOE, WINS, ASPN, etc.
