Abstract
Safeguards agencies currently face the related challenges of capturing the expertise of experienced staff soon to retire and of training a new group of high-needs inspectors – at a time of increasing safeguards demands and financial constraints. This paper identifies technologyassisted approaches that offer potential solutions to the threatened loss of corporate memory and to the training and on-the-job-support demands of new inspectors.
