Abstract
The U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Materials Inventory and Technology Development (SO-20.3) manages a technology development program to improve safeguards and security procedures and systems. The Technology Development Program (TDP) supports the field offices and facilities of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). This paper shall summarize the objectives and activities of current technology development projects. The intent is to provide safeguards personnel with information about newly developed capabilities for the nuclear materials control and accountability (MC&A) program, and to obtain the early participation of end users in the development of requirements for MC&A technologies.
