Abstract
We address the general principles of the system approach for organization of the border radiation control. These principles are based on the methodology of creation of the physical protection systems developed and successfully applied for nuclear installations of various types for some decades. As a practical example of realization of these principles, a system for the radiation control of cargoes and passengers at an airport is presented and discussed.
