Abstract
An experimental and theoretical assessment is presented of the radiation dose levels encountered in the fabrication and discharge of fuels used in the single and multiple recycling of Plutonium and minor actinides. It is concluded that higher radiation doses are associated with the minor actinidecontaining fuels in comparison to the only plutonium fuelled thermal and fast reactors. Additional means for a reduction of the occupational exposure will be required mainly during fabrication.
