Abstract
This paper provides details of the design and operation of the NGAM/URDM instrument that has been jointly developed by Bot Engineering and the CSSP. The NGAM/URDM has been designed to fulfill mission roles that include IAEA fixed and portable safeguards, Homeland security, transportation security as well a nuclear facility I&C. The instrument is capable of simultaneous collection of data from 8 independent detection channels and provides independent support of each detector, including independent bias generation. Topics discussed in the paper include the enhanced web interface, data security features, the unique data storage capabilities, chainable operation as well sample applications that the system has been targeted toward.
