Abstract
The law enforcement integrated response (IR) framework builds upon previous Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) integrated response activities coordinated with the licensees, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and local and state law enforcement agencies. These activities were conducted to maximize benefits for, and minimize the cost, impact and risk to nuclear power plants (NPP). The four core elements of IR include Computer-Aided Planning Tool development, Integrated Response Plan development, a Tabletop Exercise, and a Limited Scope Exercise. This paper provides an overview of the integrated response program for U.S. nuclear power plants.
