Abstract
Training of specialists in the security of nuclear materials and facilities, including their physical protection, is a pressing task. The report touches upon the main problems occurring in this area and their possible solutions. Presented are the examples of activities of the Russian leading educational centers such as the MEPhI, TPU national universities, training centers for physical protection, as well as the experience in cooperation with the Russian nuclear agencies and organizations concerning adaptation of students and young specialists to actual working conditions and acquisition of skills and knowledge. The activity of the “Rosatom” training centers is aimed at improvement of physical protection specialists, which in the long run will raise the level of the Nuclear Security Culture.
