FROM LANDSAT-1 TO GOOGLE EARTH AND BEYOND: PERSPECTIVES OF SATELLITE IMAGERY ANALYSIS FOR TREATY VERIFICATION

The paper gives a review on recent and future developments of commercial satellite sensor technologies in view of Treaty verification perspectives. On this basis, opportunities and challenges for data integration, multisensor and multitemporal image processing, image information mining, and visualization and mapping will be discussed.
