Gas Centrifuge Enrichment Plant Safeguards: Approaches and Technology

The Wednesday afternoon session, chaired by Hori of JNFL and Whitaker of ORNL, and Thursday morning session, chaired by Friend of Urenco, were part of the Enrichment Special Session sponsored by the INMM International Safeguards Division (ISD). The two sessions concluded on Thursday morning with almost an hour of a free-ranging panel chaired by Peter Friend of Urenco in front of an enthusiastic audience including session authors and numerous attending international safeguards experts. The impetus of the panel was to take what had been said by the speakers in the two sessions and allow the audience to expound on what they felt were key issues explored in the Enrichment Special Session.
