Abstract
This paper illustrates the magnitude of the systems, structures, and components used at the Savannah River Site for nuclear materialsextraction and separation processes. Corrosion issues, includingstress-corrosion cracking, pitting, crevice corrosion, andother corrosion-induced degradation processes are discussed andcorrosion mitigation strategies as well as a chloride exclusion programor corrosion acceptance testing.
