Accordingly,Tad Daley’s new work ApocalypseNever should be of considerable interest toour community. The principal ideas are:• The enormous destructive power ofnuclear weapons and the risk of theiruse.• The evolution of conventional weaponsthat has rendered nuclear weaponsunnecessary.• It is necessary, and possible, to createinternational entities that can promoteand monitor nuclear disarmament.• It will be necessary to create a popularmovement here and in other countriesto give the necessary impetus forthis process to take place.
