Abstract
Digital technologies at present take root more and more deeply into closed circuit television (CCTV) systems superseding first of all such basic functions, as record and switching of video data flow. Essential advantage of digital CCTV systems used at facilities with large area, and nuclear facilities are mainly such objects, is the possibility of realization of comprehensive network integration of distributed local CCTV systems. It allows flexibly to organize transfer of video data both to operators of the CCTV systems central boards, and to local posts of buildings. Such block diagram allows to carry out operative administration of all CCTV systems and using the appropriate software to distribute the rights of access to the current and archive video information. The following advantages of digital CCTV systems are also considered in the paper: fast access for operative viewing of still frames in archive video records, convenient interfaces for the users of system, possibility to obtain high quality color or black-and-white images. Compression of video signal allows to transfer it practically on any networks (including ISDN) The comparative analysis of the main parameters of the widespread digital CCTV systems is presented, including the software, methods of compression of video signal, record on disturbing events, and hardware platform. The structural description of the digital CCTV systems introducing at “Luch” is given in the paper. Optimum technical decisions of modernization existing analog CCTV are considered by addition of digital devices. Opportunities of use digital CCTV in various areas MPC&A are presented. The used digital technologies have also shortcomings, when used in CCTV systems, the most essential ones are restrictions on recorded frames frequency and speed of viewing of the recorded frames. The recommendations are given for the choice of architecture of construction of CCTV systems networks, organization of record and video data storage, and choice of components of digital CCTV systems.
