Abstract
The United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations impose requirements that licensees must meet to obtain or retain a license or certificate to use nuclear materials or operate a nuclear facility. The process of developing regulations is called rulemaking. The NRC is continuing an ongoing process of reviewing security regulations. This paper discusses some of the recent history and current activities in the fuel cycle arena.
