Abstract
Most all of the Indonesian university, has a student government which often called student executive board. One of the student government role is to acomplish one of higher education goal, which is to prepare graduates for the professional world by conducting training opportunities that can assist students in developing skills in leadership (Schumacher&Swan, 1993). Leadership is one of the most important factor in nuclear security. Leadership behavior including decision making and managerial abilities should be applied to achieve effective nuclear security (IAEA, 2008). In this paper, we want to assess the effect and importance of student government in Indonesia to foster leadership culture and enhance its member leadership abilities. Survey and interview methods are used in this paper. Desired outcome of this paper is understanding the effect of participating in student government to nuclear security leadership behaviors.
