Abstract
Solution monitoring evaluation approaches are examined by comparing the estimated best detection probabilities (DP) possible, when each is faced with one of a set of undeclared removals of plutonium solution from a reprocessing plant. Using simulated facility data, DPs are estimated for multivariate statistical process monitoring methods and for qualitative reasoning. Improvements are recommended for the treatment of certain scenarios.
