Abstract
The United States has a centralized database system used to track the location and quantities of various nuclear materials of interest to both the Department of Energy and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. This presentation will discuss the centralized database used to support nuclear materials accountancy and management which is a key focus of the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management. The presentation will convey how this database supports the U.S. Government’s needs for both domestic and international purposes. Attendees should leave this presentation with a greater understanding of this database and a high-level overview of data currently in the Nuclear Materials Management and Safeguards System.
