Abstract
A nine detector passive neutron counting system for use at the Nuclear Fuel Cycle Safety Engineering Research Facility (NUCEF) of the Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute (JAERI) at Tokai-Mura, Japan is described. The Instrumentation, which is due to undergo commissioning trials in November 1995, has been provided for three main areas of the NUCEF Fuel Preparation System for Criticality Safety Experiments. Following a description of the design and hardware, some details of the works acceptance tests carried out at Harwell Laboratory are presented.
