Abstract
In the paper there are presented results of Monte-Carlo simulations to optimize neutron multiplicity counter for standard plutonium components measuring inside ??400 container. To perform the simulations a model was used representing the configuration, in which the plutonium was packed into ??400. The efficiency of neutron detection was estimated subject to position and number the helium tubes. Models of the neutron multiplicity counter with 1,2, and 3 rings of helium tubes were examined.
