Abstract
In consequence of the Nonproliferation Treaty Safeguards inspections are periodically made in nuclear facilities. The inspection methods are permanently improved and should not hamper the reactor operation. Therefore, the Core inventory Verifier (CIVR) is bering developed as an indirect quantitative method for the verification of the core inventory and assurance of the declared operation of research reactors. Initially, the method was demonstrated under laboratory conditions at the Dresden training reactor AKR. in the second phrase of the development the Ljubljana TRIGA reactor was chosen as a reference facility. Here, the methos was tested with active and passive detectors. Results of a test series at Ljubljana TRIGA reactor will be present in this paper.
