Abstract
The Department of Energy (DOE) plans an aggressive program of consolidation and disposition of nuclear material (NM) among all facilities in the DOE complex. One part of that project includes disposition of excess nuclear material from Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) to Savannah River Site (SRS). The plan requires processing and packaging, shipping, and receipt requirements contained within the DOE 3013 Standard, Savannah River acceptance and storage criteria, processing, quality assurance, and SRS requirements documentation (20 points). Lessons learned from other sites and overall project status will be presented.
