Abstract
LANLAlarm is a custom Java computer code developed at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) to track and trend exterior and interior security alarms at LANL. The code processes data from both the existing BRASS security system and from the new Argus security system. This code and its C++ predecessor have been in continuous use since 1998. LANLAlarm provides false and nuisance alarm rates to meet Department of Energy (DOE) reporting requirements. It also provides extremely detailed information on alarms to serve as a maintenance tool for improving system performance. The detailed output of LANLAlarm is classified.
