Abstract
Recently, Korea Institute of Nuclear Nonproliferation & Control(KINAC) has prepared a mid-long term strategic plan as well as a future vision for ten years from now in order to reestablish its position effectively and to strengthen its role and capability as a nuclear control institute. Its main contents consists of three phases focused on ensuring a capacity as a technical and regulatory authority, advancing its functions and sustainablely developing to a global authority. In particular, nuclear control affairs are closely connected with external cooperation matters including so many obligations to be carried out together with international organizations and authorities as well as domestic competent authorities. Along with this, this paper suggests KINAC’s external cooperation approach based on its future vision and main action program and considers a well-matched countermeasure to effectively practice in accordance with its vision.
