Abstract
Two approaches for measuring the proliferation resistance of nuclear energy systems are currently under development. This paper provides a description of the INPRO and GIF evaluation tools and results of early trials. It then presents a set of questions that government officials, system designers and facility owners and operators can ask to facilitate a pragmatic understanding of a complex subject. The paper then shows how the GIF and INPRO evaluation tools could answer the questions posed, and describes the interfaces that will facilitate future proliferation resistance measurements.
