Abstract
This proposal is a continuation of last year’s International Atomic Energy Agency Nuclear Inspection Simulator poster presentation and JD Williams Student Paper Award winner (poster presentation). Better education about and understanding of IAEA inspections will likely garner more public support and introduce a new generation to the inspection process. Simulations, or simulation games, incorporate strategy, skill and chance to simulate a more complex process or structure. Simulations incorporate real life actions, events and items for purposes ranging from entertainment to education. Simulations also help investigate the psychology of a process. Players explore the stress, excitement and frustration of a real life event and, at least, partially understand it in a training environment.
