Implementation of the MPC&A Culture Project at the Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute (PNPI)

In 2004, Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (PNPI) began implementation of the first phase of the Joint US-Russian MPC&A Culture Project, which included training of Culture Coordinators, self-assessment of the culture status, testing of personnel, developing and introducing facility documents (facility orders, work plans, etc.). Analysis of results of our efforts revealed positive influence of the MPC&A Culture Project on situation at PNPI. Positive trends in the area of NM security began to show.
