Abstract
The paper by Currie [1] is used as a standard reference in the Los Alamos National Laboratory TRU waste management program (currently known as Project 2010.) However, some mathematical details are missing in this paper, making interpretation of certain nondestructive assay (NDA) results and in particular their uncertainties rather unclear. The aim of this report is to clarify these mathematical details.
