Abstract
As part of the Idaho Cleanup Project (ICP), the Fuel Process Building (CPP-601) of the former Idaho Chemical Processing Plant (abbreviated CPP) is being decommissioned after nearly four decades of recovering high enriched uranium (HEU) from various government owned spent nuclear fuels (SNF). The ICP is operated for the Department of Energy (DOE) by CH2M-WG Idaho, LLC (CWI); but by a blanket master agreement, the Safeguards unit of Battelle Energy Alliance, LLC (BEA) provides the nuclear material control and accountability (MC&A) functions. Both CWI and BEA are under oversight of the DOE Idaho Operations Office (DOE-ID).
