Abstract
Configuration control of nuclear materials physical protection, control and accounting systems (MPC&A) is a necessary consideration for providing these systems sustainability. At FSUE “SRI SIA “LUCH” the configuration control is based on monitoring of the MPC&A elements efficiency, their operational conditions, and also on taking advanced measures at performing the work that can influence the efficient operation of the MPC&A elements. The main factors influencing the MPC&A operation were revealed based on the analysis of the MPC&A operating conditions efficiency. A List of those factors was made; and it is used as an indicator of the objects both directly included in the MPC&A system and influencing the elements efficiency. The List is applied at the MPC&A monitoring by the Inspectors Team and also at preparing for changing the Site objects infrastructure. The conclusion on influence of the revealed configuration changes, planned changes and taking compensatory measures is made by the Group on Configuration Control consisting of the Site experts. The set of documents regulating the MPC&A configuration control has been developed at the site. The responsible personnel have been assigned.
