Abstract
A computer code has been developed by ENEA and the University of Rome \"La Sapienza\" for simulating a tomography system for testing radioactive waste packages. Up to now, only Active Computed Tomography (ACT) for single pencil beam and fan beam geometries is implemented within the code, for both cemented and vitrified matrixes. Successive developments will regard the implementation of Passive Computed Tomography (PCT). The code allows parametric studies of various sources of inaccuracy affecting the quality of the image reconstruction.
