Abstract
Gamma-ray signatures from neutron capture and inelastic scattering reactions provide unambiguous information on the isotopes present in an unknown assembly. Active and passive interrogation technologies rely upon an accurate database of threat signals However, there are known data gaps in the reaction libraries that are utilized in transport calculations. We describe how libraries may be augmented with improved data using statistical models to validate experimental data and extrapolation to unknown regions of the spectrum.
