Abstract
Nuclear energy is widely used throughout the world. Safeguards are needed in order to comply with international agreements. Safety is needed for protecting people from radiation and security is needed for protecting nuclear materials and facilities from unlawful activities and malevolent people. There is a need for developing new tools and methods for integrating these 3Ss in practice. Here we present a new concept, 3S site-walks. More experiences are needed but it can be seen that the 3S site-walk approach is aiding both regulators and facilities in developing their integration of 3S in practice.
